SUBJECT: Supply to Continuous and Un-interrupted Power to Industries located in the Goindwal Nucleus Industrial Complex – Exemption from Peak Load Hours Restrictions.

In continuation to this office P.R.Circular No. 02/2001 dated 28.01.2001.
The issue for extension in time for giving exemption from power cut/other benefits has been considered and it has been decided as under:-

i) No power cut may be imposed up to 31.12.2010 on all new and old Industrial consumers except during emergency and Peak Load Hours Restrictions.
ii) The new Industrial Units (except Induction and Arc Furnace Consumers) coming after the issue of these revised instructions will be exempted from Peak Load Hours Restrictions and Compulsory Weekly Off-day (if imposed) for a period of 5 years or up to 31.12.2010 whichever is earlier.
iii) The existing Industrial Units (except Induction & Arc Furnace Consumers), which up to 31.12.2005 have been in Operation for less than 5 years will be exempted from Peak Load Hours Restrictions & Compulsory Weekly Off-day (if imposed) till they complete 5 years of their operation.
iv) Peak Load Hours Restrictions and Compulsory Weekly Off-day (if imposed) shall be applicable at par (with the other industrial consumers of the State) for all other Industrial Consumers not covered under Sr.No. i to iii. However, these consumers can avail Peak Load Exemption at the same terms & conditions as applicable to any other Industrial Consumer.
